Welcome to the Office of Economic and Statistical Research web site. This site contains a wide range of demographic, economic and social data relating to the state of Queensland, as well as information about using statistics and the services we provide.
The popular Regional Profiles and Local Government Area Profiles products have been replaced by an improved Queensland Regional Profiles system. These on-line profiles contain a range of demographic, social and economic data. The profiles can be generated for a single Statistical Division (SD) or a single local government area (LGA), or a customised grouping of LGAs. Profiles are available for the latest LGA boundaries and can be output in PDF and Excel format.
These projections update those released in 2006, and incorporate data from the 2006 Census of Population and Housing and the latest intelligence on fertility, mortality and migration for Queensland. Data are available for Queensland to 2056 and Statistical Divisions to 2031 by single year of age.
The Office of the Government Statistician is the Queensland Government's lead statistical agency, and regularly conducts surveys to collect official statistics. A summary of Survey Participant Information is provided for people who have been asked to participate in a statistical survey.
