National Broadband Network - network information instruments
On 7 August 2008, the Government published instruments setting out the network information that carriers were to provide for the National Broadband Network process, and the rules to safeguard the information.
The Telecommunications (National Broadband Network Designated Information) Determination 2008 (No. 1) specifies the network information selected telecommunications carriers were required to collect and provide to the Government.

The Telecommunications (National Broadband Network) Determination under subsection 531(4) 2008 (No. 1) sets out pre-conditions that recipients of the network information must meet prior to protected carrier information being disclosed to them.
The Telecommunications (National Broadband Network Restricted Recipients and Storage, Handling and Destruction of Protected Carrier Information) Rules 2008 (No. 1) sets out the rules that the recipients of the network information must comply with to ensure that the information is managed securely.
