Jeff

It is ridiculous to talk about a "Digital Economy" when, in the same breath, the government is proposing to cripple the internet performance via its proposed mandatory ISP filtering.

Anyone with an ounce of knowledge knows that this kind of filtering is best undertaken at the individual PC (via a range of available tools) where it does not impact overall performance of the internet.

The proposed internet filtering also sets a dangerous precedent with governments (present and future) being able to prohibit access to any sites of their choosing, for whatever reason. If we wanted that kind of censorship, we would all move to China.

I find it hard to comment on any other aspects of the Digital Economy until the government reconsiders this ridiculous, nanny state mentality.
