The program provided $8.2 million for basic IT training and technical support for people and organisations in very remote areas of Australia (as defined by the Accessibility Remoteness Index of Australia developed by the Australian Bureau of Statistics).
Nine projects received funding ranging from $350 000 to $2.9 million:
- Learning Network Queensland
- State Library of Queensland
- Desart Inc
- Bulloo Shire Council
- South Australian Department of Further Education, Employment, Science and Technology
- Western Australian Department of Local Government and Regional Development
- Local Government Association of the Northern Territory

- Orana Education Centre
At the end of the program in December 2007, almost 16 500 people in 550 very remote communities received almost 110 000 hours of basic ICT training and/or technical support services.
