We believe that the ABC should seriously consider taking over the troubled ABC Early Childhood Learning Centres. The ABC broadcasting group has a long association with early childhood education and maintenance of high standards with respect to use of the English language.
The corporation already has the brand recognition requiring no name change and the present state of the childcare group and the market makes this an ideal opportunity to enter this potentially profitable field. The resources and products of the media group can be readily used in the centres for the benefit of the children's development, hopefully maintaining our unique 'Australian' character which is sadly being eroded by the influx of overseas programming.
