The ABC televison station has been an icon for the introduction of cultural icons for many years, with shows such as the glass house (now canceled) enough rope (great show), FORA ( as a student i find fasinating and informative) and Kath and Kim ( always good for a quick laugh.). i find my self switching to ABC for some serious and fun programing. The display of a multicultural line up also has been a major sucess of the station , with international shows such as the people watchers and Scrapheap chalange are always a topic of discusion on deciding what to watch. in short the abc is currently is great elevision station.

improvements could be made on the broadcast however taking the signal on the HD channel to 1080i to match the commertial channels bring the abc in line with the big players of australian programing.

as i student i would like to add that televion programing between 4:00-6:00 aedst is poor on all stations, if the abc was to show re-runs of high rating showson ABC2 a large number of high seconday students would tune in, as the comic preformance of the 'Shack'on the nine network does not confide to or sence of quality programing.

Thank you for your time and reading my opinion into the future of the ABC.
