I think the content of ABC news and current affairs programs will be improved if there is more news about what is happening in Asian countries. For example, Indonesia, Singapore, India and China. The news is overly dominated by events that occur in the United States or the United Kingdom. An example of this is the amount of current coverage that is given to the American presidential election. Much of Australia's trade occurs with Asian countries and we are geographically part of this region so it is appropriate to me that we receive more news about events in such countries.
