This graph compares the consumption of internet and television from 2005 to 2007. The average hours per person per activity are measured for this period. Weekly internet consumption was approximately 9 hours per person in 2005, approximately 12.5 hours per person in 2006 and approximately 14 hours per person in 2007. Television consumption remained relatively constant from 2005 to 2007 with average weekly consumption at approximately 13 to 14 hours per person. However, the graph shows that in 2007 the number of hours Australians spent online in 2007 surpassed the numbers of hours they spent watching television.
