Digital Regions Initiative

The four-year $60 million Digital Regions Initiative commenced in July 2009 and concluded on 30 June 2013. It co-funded innovative digital enablement projects with state, territory and local governments through a National Partnership Agreement. It took a collaborative approach to improve the delivery of education, health and/or emergency services in regional, rural and remote Australia.

There were 14 projects and three NBN-enabled trials funded under the initiative.
